The venue is wheelchair accessible, Car parking for blue badge holders - 2 spaces at the rear of the Library on Cambridge Street.

Time: The event will take place from noon, with refreshments.

Wikimedia UK is holding this event in partnership with Voices of War and Peace, a First World War Engagement Centre funded by the Arts & Humanities Council www.voicesofwarandpeace.org. 

The event will focus on editing Wikipedia pages about WW1 and dissent - Peace attempts, Conscientious objectors, neutrality

Draft Agenda:

We will have a Wikipedia trainer on hand for those who need basic wiki training, then work directly on Wikipedia, with experienced Wikipedians and people from Voices of War and Peace: the Great War and its legacy on hand.

How to prepare:

• Create a Wikipedia account - en:Special:UserLogin/signup
• Learn about editing if you like: w:en:Wikipedia:Tutorial, or Getting started on Wikipedia for more information
• Think about what you would like to edit about - you can even prepare some materials to bring with you on the day
• Please bring a laptop computer if you can, if you can't, Wikimedia UK has some spares which you can book on the form.
• See the event's page on Wikipedia for more details and feel free to add your username. We also have a coordinating page for all the global events for WW1 and dissent, feel free to suggest articles there for improvement or even creation.
