Wikimedia UK (registered charity no. 1144513) is the UK charity which exists to support Wikipedia and its sister sites.
Your donations will be used to keep Wikipedia running free from advertising and support our work to get more people and institutions involved working with this vital information source.
More information about how your details are protected can be found in our Donor Privacy Policy. We will use your contact details to send you occassional updates by email or post, which you can unsubscribe from at any point.

Gift Aid means we can claim an extra 25% of the value of your donations back from the taxman. It means your gifts can go even further to help keep Wikipedia free.
By asking us to claim Gift Aid on your donations, you agree that you pay more UK Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax than the value of the tax we reclaim on your gifts and any other charitable gifts you make in this financial year. If your circumstances change please let us know.
More about Gift Aid
You can find out more about Gift Aid at the HMRC website.
Why do we need your email address?
A very high proportion of gifts we receive are made online. If you can put the same email address in this form as you used when making a donation (e.g. the email address associated with your PayPal account) it makes it much easier for us to match declarations to gifts.
Higher Rate Tax Payers
Don't forget that if you pay Income Tax at the higher rate you are likely to be able to claim further tax relief on your donations, via your tax return. If you're in any doubt please speak to your tax advisor.
